What parameters affect the quality of coldroom doors?

1.Frameless doors and doors with aluminum frames

In frameless coldroom doors, which are the latest technological achievement in coldroom door manufacturing in Europe, first the sheet is bent with a CNC bending machine (CNC press brake) so that the top sheet and the door periphery are integrated, and then the bottom sheet (back) of the door is bent. Finally these two sheets will be placed in the mold and the integrated injection will be performed.

In this production method, there is no need for an aluminum frame, which leads to having no partition seam and step between the sheets and the aluminum frame. These places are where pollution accumulates, and hence, this type of door becomes a very suitable option for cleanrooms and environments with high hygiene sensitivity.

In aluminum framed doors, which is the older version of cold storage doors, extruded aluminum profile is used as a holding coil for the top sheet and bottom sheet, and the separation step and separation seam, which is the place of accumulation of pollution, is inevitable in this method. Also, with the passage of time due to dynamic pressures on the door, it is possible that the sheets separate from the aluminum frame. 2.Insulation foam

AryaBaron produces doors with B1 or B2 polyurethane insulation foam, according to the German industrial standard DIN 4102, these doors are injected in the Italian fully automatic production line with a density of 41 and in an integrated manner. The thickness of this insulation layer is between 5 and 25 cm according to the application of the door.
There are three types of foam in the DIN 4102 standard classification:

not easily flammable – B1
flammable – B2
Easily flammable – B3

3.The material of the top and bottom sheet

For coldrooms and hot houses with conventional and simple uses, the top and bottom sheets are pre-painted galvanized or Aluzinc in various colors with the thickness of 0.3 to 0.7 mm, and for acidic and alkaline environments or environments with high moisture percentage, AryaBaron uses high-quality stainless steel, aluminum, PVC or fiberglass sheets. Also, based on the order and the costumers request, it is possible to produce doors from wood design sheets or sheets that have been rolled in the form of leather or panorama.

4.Double gasket (airtight rubber around the door)

The only airtight factor between the door and the door frame is the gasket, Therefore its material, shape and how it is installed to the door are very effective in the door’s quality.
AryaBaron uses double-peaked gaskets for high-quality airtight doors, and the materials of these gaskets are discreetly selected so that they are highly flexible in a temperature range of -30 to +100 degrees and are durable (AryaBaron uses special gaskets for temperatures below – 30 degrees and more than +100 degrees). The gasket installation method in AryaBaron doors is such that there will be no hole between the door and the gasket, and on the other hand, if the gasket is damaged, it can be easily replaced.

5.The corner’s integrated section

Old traditional systems, cut the gaskets at 45 degrees in the corners (in Persian terms) and connect these pieces to each other with glue or heat. This connection is not stable and after a short period of time sections will no longer be airtight. This is another drawback of this gasket system. The traditional rule is that if a part of the gasket is damaged, the entire gasket around the door should be replaced, the difficult and time-consuming replacement of traditional gaskets adds to all the other challenges. As you can see in the figure, in the corners AryaBaron uses integrated sections. It is used independently and the problem of glue tearing and lack of air sealing has been completely solved. An integrated corner piece consists of three smaller pieces, and if one part is damaged, the same small piece can be easily replaced, which leads to saving costs. It is possible to replace the gaskets of AryaBaron doors easily without needing special tools or expert personnel’s aid.

6.door cams

Using the latest technology of the world, AryaBaron manufactures coldroom door frames from bent metal profiles with furnace paint for stability against bending and shock. In double-sided cams, to prevent the creation of a thermal bridge between the outside and the inside, these cams are designed in two pieces and a T-shaped rubber profile is placed between the two pieces. One-way cams can be used in order to avoid more costs and also make installation easier. Also, all the cams are insulated with polyurethane foam (according to picture 1). Also, PVC cams and coated wooden cams are still part of AryaBaron’s production line.

7. The bar

AryaBaron places a heating bar inside the frame to prevent frosting and sticking of the gasket to the frame, also the bar heats the surface of the frame sheet. The bar around AryaBaron’s doors consist of three separate pieces and if one piece is damaged the same piece is replaced at a lower cost.

8. Rescue lever

If the coldroom door is locked from the outside and someone is locked inside the coldroom for any reason, they can easily release the lock by pulling the lever and open the door from the inside.

9. Fittings

The use of standard and durable fittings play an important role in the efficiency and appearance of the doors, and in this context, the use of fittings that can be adjusted in several directions, increases the quality of door installation and as a result, increases the life of the product.
